National Police Chief Pinned as Honorary Citizen of Marines, TNI-Polri Synergy Getting Stronger

Jakarta – TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono pinned MPR Speaker Bambang Soesatyo, DPR Speaker Puan Maharani, National Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and all TNI Chiefs of Staff, as honorary citizens of the Marine Corps.

“In the context of becoming an honorary citizen of the Marine Corps, he was assigned the chairman of the MPR, chairman of the DPR, chief of police, KSAD, KSAL, and KSAU, whose implementation this afternoon was carried out through amphibious assaults as the main task of the marines in combat, starting from the landing, followed by the attack movement on land. I emphasize this for services that have contributed to the progress of the TNI, especially the Indonesian Navy and the Marine Corps,” said Yudo on Pulau Damar Seribu Islands, DKI Jakarta, Tuesday, January 24, 2023.

After receiving the pinning, National Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo emphasized that being an honorary citizen of the Marine Corps is a source of pride for both himself and the Police institution. Remembering, said Sigit, a Marine soldier has a very difficult task in protecting the sovereignty of the Indonesian nation.

On the other hand, Sigit reiterated that, as the Chief of the National Police and Police personnel, the blood of the TNI flows in his body. Remember, Sigit was born into a family with a military background.

“I always say, I became a police officer and currently I am the National Police Chief. However, TNI blood flows in my blood and that will strengthen the solidity and synergy between the TNI and Polri in the future it will be even stronger and better,” said Sigit on the same occasion.

According to Sigit, the appointment of an honorary member of the Marine Corps completes the beret pinned on him. Among them, honorary citizens of Kostrad, Hiu Kencana brevet, and pinned on the Red Beret and Command Brevet from Kopassus.

Sigit emphasized that with this embedding it was not merely ceremonial. Rather, it is a form and evidence of increasingly solid synergy between the TNI-Polri in maintaining security, order and maintaining the unity and integrity of the Indonesian Nation.

“This certainly shows the synergy and solidity of the TNI-Polri is getting stronger and stronger day by day,” said Sigit.

The synergy and solidity of the TNI-Polri, said Sigit, is very important in protecting and maintaining the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). According to him, this will affect the stability of security and public order (kamtibmas).

“This is important for safeguarding the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, the stability of security and order will be more stable when the solidity of the TNI-Polri is getting stronger. State sovereignty will be even more stable when the solidity and synergy between the TNI-Polri is getting stronger. Security and political stability is needed to keep the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia stronger and better,” Sigit close.
