President Joko Widodo inspected the readiness of the location for the 2023 ASEAN Summit at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta, on Friday, January 13, 2023. Arriving at around 14.00 WIB, President Jokowi immediately inspected the area outside the JCC accompanied by a number of ministers present.
After that, the President and his entourage entered the area within the JCC. There, the President checked a number of facilities and rooms prepared as a meeting place for leaders in the ASEAN region.
In a separate statement, Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Retno Marsudi said that the President’s presence at the JCC today was to see the readiness of one of the locations for the 2023 ASEAN Summit.
“The president today reviewed the readiness of the JCC as one of the venues of the 2023 ASEAN Summit,” the Foreign Minister told the Press, Media and Information Bureau.
Also present at the review were State Secretary Minister Pratikno, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, BUMN Minister Erick Thohir, Youth and Sports Minister Zainudin Amali, Head of State Protocol Andy Rachmianto, and Acting. Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono.
